Apple Crumble

Nach dem Abendessen muss es bei mir immer noch etwas süßes sein. Was gibt es da besseres als Gartengereifte Äpfel mit knusprigen, süßen Streuseln! Ich habe dieses Rezept am Sonntag ausprobiert, und was soll ich sagen...es ist nicht viel übrig geblieben ;)

After dinner I always need soe kind of sweet desert. And what fits better then appels from your backyard with a sweet and crispy Crust. I tried this recipe last sunday...and what can I say? Not much has been left ;)

Vintage Look

Erst jetzt fällt mir auf das der komplette Look (bis auf die Schuhe) aus Vintageteilen bzw. Flohmarktmitbringseln besteht.  Die Bluse und der Rock aus dem Secondhand Shop (je 5 Euro) und die Tasche vom Flohmarkt (2 Euro). Ich würde sagen gute Schnäppchen die nicht nach welchen aussehen :)

Just now I noticed that this whole look is made of vintage and fleamarket finds. The blouse and the skirt from a second hand shop (both 5 Euro) and the purse from a flea market (2Euro). I'd say pretty good deals which don't look like they where one.

From scarf to a pillow (pt. II )

Könnt ihr euch noch an dieses d.i.y. erinnern? Ich hatte noch die Hälfte des Stoffes übrig und gleich noch eine andere Idee umgesetzt. Das sitzt nun auf unserem Bett und hat meinen Freund letztes Wochenende nach Hause willkommen.

Do you remember this d.i.y.? Well I had half of the fabric left so I decided to turn it into another pillow case. This sits now on our bed and welcomed my boyfriend home last weekend.

How to:

1) Sew a pillow case as large as needed

2) Insert zipper if wanted

3) Add any fabric trimming you prefer

4) Add a text /word with fabric color but outline it first

Dieses Outfit war eigentlich ohne Tasche geplant, doch kurz bevor ich diese Fotos gemacht habe, habe ich auf dem Flohmarkt diese tolle Tasche von Aigner entdeckt. Keine Frage, die musste dann einfach mit auf die Bilder!

At first I planned this look without a bag, but than just an our before this shoot I disovered this beautiful Aigner handbag. So no question...it had to be in the pictures with me!

Vintage Cookbooks

Meine Mama hat viele alte Kochbücher, vor allem von Flohmärkten bringt sie öfter ein paar mit. Diese drei habe ich mir weg genommen, gerade weil mir das erste so wahnsinnig gut vom Cover her gefällt. Es ist von 1883 und noch in altdeutscher Schrift. Zum Teil musste ich schon Googlen was Wörter bedeuten. Kennt ihr "Topfen"? Ich habe auch erst gestutzt, dabei war es in so einigen Rezepten. Es ist ein altes Wort für Quark! Alle Rezepte verlangen nach Grundzutaten, also nicht nach Fertigmischungen - versteht mich nicht falsch, wenn's schnell gehen muss nehme ich diese natürlich auch gern - so kann man noch richtig kochen lernen ;)

My mom has a lot of really old cookbooks. She brings them home from fleamarkets and always finds some amazing ones, like this really old one on top of this pile. I stole these three books from her, because they're so beautiful. The top one is from 1883 and in the old German writing. I even had to google some words because I didn't know what they meant. All of those recipes you make from scratch, because back than there was no thing like "no add the baking mixture to some milk and you're done". And don't get me wrong, when I'm in a hurry I love those mixtures. But with these books you can really learn how to cook, and that's amazing!
